I love cook books and have a pretty good collection of them. I can tell this one is destined to become a favorite. We all have a cookbook, worn and smudged, that we turn to over and over. This is one of those books. It has everything from a basic white sauce to emulsified butter sauces. It also has salsa and pasta sauces, salad dressings and mayonnaises. For the grill meister it even has BBQ sauces and marinades.
As noted before it is not a beginners cookbook, but if you possess the basic kitchen skills you should be fine with it. It will definitely help you add a little flair to your next get together.

This is a simple book of sauces. I have used many of the recipes and have always been happy with the results. I lost this book and had to repurchase it simply because I went back to it so often. It has an index based on what type of meat or side dish you are making. There are no pictures but most of the sauces are fairly straight forward. I highly recommend this for newer cooks who are not familiar with continental cooking and would like to learn some basics. Of course if you are familiar with sauce making you will find there are many new things to try as well.

As a barbecue judge and cook a sauce is essential to enhancing a cooked item. Knowing the foundation of how to develop and link a quality sauce to a meat is essential. This book provides the fundamentals needed to create a quality sauce with flavor without investing a lot of money in books, CD's and DVD's.

I have tried many of the sauces in this all-sauce-cookbook and I have loved most of them. I would definitely recommend this book to anyone who wants to add an extra pow to everyday foods.

This book was given to my husband for Christmas. It's ok... Not a lot of help for basic sauces, more for gourmet sauces.
