Prepare delicious, vitamin-rich juices in seconds, thanks to the extra large feed chute and efficient stainless steel micro mesh filter. No need to pre-chop fruits and veggies such as apples, tomatoes, and carrots. Just place them in the chute and push with the pusher. While juicing in bulk, there's no need to disassemble the juice fountain to empty the pulp container, it just slides right out. A powerful motor pushes fruits and veggies through the mesh filter to separate seeds and fiber, maximizing juice output. You can have a glass of juice in 5 seconds, and be through clean up in not much more. The easy clean design has fewer parts and rounded smooth surfaces that can be easily rinsed after use.

Get a nutritious start to your day with fresh tomato, carrot, apple, or orange juice--or invent your own healthy blend. This powerful (and some would say noisy) 600-watt juicer churns out a quart of juice in just one minute. An extra-wide feed tube saves chopping time since it accommodates whole tomatoes, carrots, and small apples, and the removable parts make this one of the fastest juicers to clean. To operate, simply turn the juicer on and insert washed whole or chopped fruits and vegetables through the feed tube--pulp and seeds will shoot out one side into the provided pulp container, and juice will pour out the spout. To catch the juice, you can use either a glass or a provided juice container with lid. The juice container features a handy divider to separate the juice from the froth when pouring. Weighing thirteen pounds, the juice extractor measures 15 by 6-1/2 by 16 inches and comes with a one-year warranty. A helpful instruction booklet that includes tips and recipes is included to get you started. --Ann Bieri

From the Manufacturer

Changing the World, One Apple at a Time…

Unrivalled power meets highest quality components and revolutionary design in this life changing appliance. Touted as North America’s fastest juicer, after being timed making an 8-ounce glass of juice in an astonishing 5 seconds, the world’s fastest juicer might be a more apt description. Designed by innovative, world-renowned engineer Keith Hensel in 1999, the Breville Juice Fountain was the world’s first domestic juicer to accept whole fruit and vegetables with no chopping, peeling, slicing, or dicing.

Named for its ability to produce literally a fountain of continuous juice, where other juicers generate a mere trickle, the JE900 Juice Fountain has seriously changed the way the world looks at juice. Where traditional juice extractors require time consuming preparation, feeding, and cleaning, the Juice Fountain completes the whole home juicing experience in less time than it takes to brew a cup of coffee. The Juice Fountain’s ability to juice whole fruit, to reduce juicing time by up to 90%, and to yield up to 30% more juice, stems from a combination of innovations. Even its unofficial tagline as "a juice bar in your own home" doesn’t do justice to just how fast and convenient the machine is. Thousands of families from Australia to Japan and everywhere in between enjoy fresh, healthy juice every day thanks to the Breville JE900 Juice Fountain.

Amazing Innovations

600-Watt Centered Motor

The Juice Fountain’s motor is positioned directly under the drive shaft so no power is lost in electrical transition or resistance. At 600 watts, the motor is one of the most powerful domestic juicers available, and its centered location directly over the drive shaft means a true 600 watts of power is delivered to the cutter and filter. The higher wattage not only delivers faster and more efficient juicing, it’s also powerful enough to juice regularly without significant stress on the motor.

Patented Center Knife Blade Cutter Assembly

The Juice Fountain is the world’s only large feed tube juicer to feature a centered feed tube and knife blade cutter assembly. Other juicers receive fruit and vegetables toward the circumference of the cutter-blade putting uneven pressure on the cutter and filter. As a result, it is not possible to balance the cutting assembly to attain sufficient speed for optimum juicing. The patented Juice Fountain design accepts fruit directly on to the center of the cutting assembly where a small, dual-bladed Italian made knife shreds the pulp into tiny particles and pushes it against the filter.

Over 14,000 RPMs!

The unique centered cutter assembly, together with the 600 watt motor, allows the Juice Fountain to deliver unparalleled speed to the filter. The Juice Fountain’s Italian micro-mesh filter spins at an incredible 14,500 revolutions per minute. The greater the revolutions, the faster the fruit can be juiced, and the greater the pressure on the pulp against the filter. Breville’s lightning speed filter ‘G-forces’ the maximum amount of juice from the pulp and makes an 8-ounce glass of juice in as little as 5 seconds (tested using apples). The 14,500 rpms of the Juice Fountain compares to about 5,000 rpms on most other juicers.

Italian-Made Stainless Steel Micro Mesh Cutter and Filter

Italian engineering is renowned for its uncompromising quality and eye for detail. The Juice Fountain’s micromesh filter is no exception. Comparing this to other filters it is easy to see that the engineering differences are significant. The filter holes on the Breville filter are so tiny that the individual holes can’t be detected with the naked eye yet the screen is see-through. The thousands and thousands of tiny, micro-mesh holes maximize the juicing surface area to squeeze every last drop of juice from the pulp. Because the holes are so small, they effectively block any seeds, pulp, or rind to deliver nothing but fresh, delicious juice.

3-Inch Wide Feed Tube

The Juice Fountain features the largest circular feed tube of all juicers in America. The unique rounded shape allows for easy insertion of whole apples, pears, tomatoes, peeled oranges, even handfuls of carrots at a time. Where other juicers take several minutes of chopping, peeling, slicing, and dicing, the Breville is large enough and powerful enough to accept whole fruit. This revolutionary design reduces juicing time by up to 90%, making the Juice Fountain a practical way to get natural nutrients and vitamins for the whole family each and every day.

Extra Large Pulp Container

The extra large pulp container is designed to fit a standard plastic grocery bag to capture all the pulp for no-fuss clean up. Because the pulp is exceptionally dry with the Breville Juicer, and the pulp container is so large, it is practical to juice continually for several minutes before the pulp container needs to be emptied. For those that don’t want to waste the pulp, the Juice Fountain’s free instruction manual has delicious recipes for muffins and cakes using the pulp.

Smooth Rounded Dishwasher Safe Parts

Easy cleaning was at the top of the priority list for the Breville design team when engineering the Juice Fountain. Having tested dozens of juicers and spoken to thousands of consumers, the overwhelming response was that juice extractors are just too difficult to clean. The Breville Juice Fountain is a delightful contrast. Not only is the pulp container designed to insert a grocery bag to capture the pulp, but there are only three other parts that require cleaning. All of them are top-shelf dishwasher safe and feature smooth, rounded surfaces that rinse easily under the tap. Even washing by hand takes only seconds as pulp residue slides right off the smooth surfaces. The Juice Fountain comes with a bonus cleaning brush designed to slide effortlessly around the micro-mesh cutter and filter making cleaning a breeze.

Bonus Juice Pitcher with Froth Separator

The Juice Fountain comes with a bonus 1-quart juice pitcher. Like the machine itself, the pitcher is cleverly designed with an adjustable froth separator. Some juice recipes produce a froth residue at the top of the juice and while some consumers enjoy the froth, others would rather drink their juice without it. The easy slide froth separator allows the user to have as little or as much froth as they desire. The bonus pitcher also comes with an air tight lid to store left over juice in the fridge.

Love this juicer!

Reviewed by Debra Lockwood, 2010-02-19

This is the first juicer I have owned so I don't have anything to compare to but I really love it. It's so easy to operate and clean. I am able to sneak veggies into my kids drinks and they just think they are drinking some yummy juice! I haven't actually priced it out but it seems like I'm saving money because I now juice the apples or grapes that got a little mushy that no one will eat. I haven't done this yet but I really want to make carrot cake with the left overs after I juice them. Highly recommend this to anyone!

Really Good Mid-priced Juicer

Reviewed by J. Benzaquen, 2010-02-17

This is my first juicer, so I'm not familiar with other comparable or higher-priced machines, but I am pleased with this Breville JE900 and think it's an excellent product for "new juicing enthusiasts." It's fairly easy to clean. Everything that needs washing comes apart from the main body of the juicer and can be easily hand washed or placed in the dishwasher. I suggest placing a small plastic grocery bag in the pulp container as a liner before juicing for easier clean up. The machine itself has a pretty strong motor and extracts a fair amount of juice from each piece of produce. I can make a nice glass of juice using just 2 apples, 2 carrots and a beet. The motor is fairly loud, but not bad considering the work it's doing. The machine is fast and seems to be of high quality. I got mine for $99 and free shipping, so I'm thrilled with the deal I got. I think it's worth up to about $130 -- but I wouldn't pay any more than that.

Not bad...not that great...but just okay

Reviewed by YHWH4ever, 2010-02-04

I bought this juicer based on the good reviews. I am a first timer with the juicing thing and I didn't want to invest a bunch of money at first. I bought this one at a major warehouse retailer for a good price. All the reviews I've read about Breville juicers have been great, so I took the plunge and bought this one. This juicer did not meet my expectations at all. I honestly thought it would plow through carrots and apples like nothing, but it did not. The blades had a hard time even cutting through the carrots. I tried pushing harder, softer, but it didn't really help. So, I ended up pumping the insert that goes into the mouth to get the machine to juice the carrots. It also seemed as if the machine was bogging down with the carrots. I was afraid I was going to burn up the motor with the carrots.

I could not fit a whole apple down the chute, either, which is fine because my apples were very large. I cut them into quarters and fed them into the machine. They did better than the carrots, but I still had the pump the insert to get them to juice. With both the carrots and the apples, there were big chunks that flew into the pulp container. This did not seem right to me, even though I'm new at this. Celery did fine, except for the large chunks as well. Oranges, pineapple, and grapefruit did okay too. I also found that a lot of the pulp stuck to the chute where it supposed to go into the container.

I just took this back today and now am looking at some others. I originally chose another Breville before I bought this one for cheaper, but now I'm not sure about getting my first choice. Because of the fact that my hubby and I want to juice fast and detox, and will be juicing quite a bit, I really want something better than what this machine puts out. On the good side, it does make great tasting juice, sounds like a jet engine, and is relatively easy to clean. Although to clean the basket, I had to scrub it pretty good with the brush that's provided with the machine. So, as I stated in my title - Not bad...not that great...but just okay. It's an average machine.

Not Impressed!

Reviewed by Moviefanatic, 2010-01-31

My Moline 104 Juicer broke down this morning after almost 10 years of use. I use a juicer at least three times a week to make a vegetable juice (for the most part, beets, carrots, celery, parsley, green peppers). I needed a replacement and I bought this model because it looked like the only decent model available at the local stores. I tried it right away and, frankly, was not impressed. Considering the price, the quality just did not measure up - light plastic (part of the top cover came in chipped right out of the box), juice splatters all over the countertop, lots of juice left in the pulp. I am returning it. Will be contacting Moline Customer Service - turns out, their juicer has 15 year warranty.

Great juicer, but plastic #7

Reviewed by keep_shining, 2010-01-30

I think other reviewers have covered pretty much everything about this juicer. We bought this juicer for $99 off of Costco's website. Great price and great juicer. However, I got concerned one day about the plastic. The juice collector that holds the filter is made out of plastic but no where on the juicer or in the manual does it indicate what kind of plastic it is. I called the company and they didn't know. So they checked with their technical team and called me back the next day to tell me that it was plastic #7. If you are concerned about BPA, then you might want to avoid this juicer and get the more expensive model, the Breville 800JEXL. The 800JEXL is mostly made out of stainless steel. I confirmed with the company that the juice collector (or bowl) for that model is made out of stainless steel. And of course, the filter is too. Not all plastic #7 contain BPA but could. There's just no way to know. I guess I should have asked Breville but didn't. But I don't want to take the chance on a #7 when it comes to something we're using everyday. The wear and tear also increases the chances that chemicals will leak out of it. So, we're going to be returning this model and getting the stainless steel one.

In case you're wondering, I didn't check on what kind of plastic the jug is made out of because we usually juice directly into our drinking glasses.
